Zachary Young

Zachary Young, 28, was born on June 12, 1996. Just shy of 9 pounds, he was broad shouldered and muscular from the beginning. Those muscles would serve him well as he dedicated himself fully to anything that would keep him active and adventurous, including baseball, soccer, pole vaulting, and his beloved parkour.

Zachary was beloved by an ever-growing group of friends. He would often come home from school to announce that he had added another friend to his friend group, and he remained close with many of them throughout his life.

Zachary was an accomplished musician who enjoyed and excelled at playing guitar, drums, and keyboard. He was also a talented singer and songwriter who wrote and recorded much of his original music.

After graduation, he aspired to be a nurse, but when those plans didn’t work out, he found a good job at Canyon Ridge Hospital as a Lead Mental Health Professional, where he worked until he passed away on December 8, 2024.

Zachary had a kind heart and he would do absolutely anything for a friend.  Additionally, he loved to seek out new adventures and activities. Some of his hobbies included archery, hiking, motorcycle riding, camping, and just taking off for long rides with his friends to see where they would end up.

In addition to his tightly knit friend group, he leaves behind a mom and dad and four siblings who love and miss him immensely.
