Walter Roy Bauer

November 28, 1924 — April 18, 2016

Walt, age 91, was born in Romeo, Michigan to Roy and Lucille Bauer. He was married 54 years to the love of his life, Irene, who predeceased him. He leaves behind his son Brian (Lisa), predeceased by sons Mark (Kathy) and Eric (Betty), six grandchildren and one great-grandson. He served in the Navy during WWII and served in the South Pacific. After the war he moved his family to Monrovia in 1951 where he was an auto mechanic. He started his own garage in Monrovia, Walt Bauer's Auto Service, retiring in 1986. He lived the last eight years of his life at Leven Oaks in Monrovia where he received wonderful and loving care. He will be greatly missed.
