Veronica D. Thee

Veronica D. Thee was born November 6, 1924 in Irwin, PA to John and Veronica (Vargo) Kovacs. She would later become a permanent resident of Arcadia in 1951. She passed away July 6, 2013 at age 88 in her own home. Well known in the Arcadia community for her active participation in local projects & organizations, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Soroptimist International & Village, a member of Arcadia Republican Women's Club, Inc., and Calif. Lutheran Homes. She was well-known in the food industry as co-owner of Thee of California Baking Company founded in San Gabriel by her husband H. William Thee. Veronica is survived by her son Ronald W. Thee, daughter Kathleen V. Prouty (Tim), son William W. Thee (Mona) and her beloved grandchildren, Brian, & Kevin Prouty and Dawn (great-grandson Gage), Heather (Paul) & Billy Thee. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband (Bill) of 49 years and a grandson David Prouty. Visitation hours are Friday, July 26, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm at the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance, 600 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia. Following a private family committal service at Rose Hills, a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 27 at 11am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 512 W.
