Valerie "Val" Hansen passed away peacefully at home on December 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and companion, Richard Brandes. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Reed (Donald, deceased), sons, William (Christey), and Robert (Ann). Val has 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Val was a world traveler. She always wanted to get involved in the local customs. She was involved in many social / service organizations in the area. Val loved visiting any kind of museum, the arts / theater, camping, reading and botanical gardens. Mom / Grandma was always on the "GO" and always ready for a new adventure. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 PM at Douglass & Zook.
