Timoteo Esparza

Timoteo Esparza, 80, born on January 24, 1943, in Ciudad Juárez, CHIH, Mexico, to his parents Jose Esparza & Cipriana Dominguez.  Tim passed away June 01, 2023.  He resided in Arcadia, California at the time of his passing.  Arrangements are under the care of Douglass & Zook Funeral and Cremation Services, Monrovia, CA.

Tim went to Burgess High School and then joined the Navy in 1960-1963.  He was a Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class abroad the USS Handcock.  Additionally, he was with the Photographic Squadron VFP 63.  They were called, "Eye of the Fleet" during the Vietnam War.

In 1980, while working for the City of El Monte as a Housing Program Coordinator, he met Jacqueline.  They were later married and together for more than 33 years.  Tim retired from the city after 26 years.  

Tim was active in the Kiwanis Club of El Monte for over 30 years, with many years as Club President.  He loved to coach little league baseball and actively played in adult softball leagues.  

Tim is survived by his present wife, Jacqueline Wagner-Esparza, his children David & Margret Esparza, Debbie Gallego, Danny & Doreen Esparza, Michele Esparza, Tim and Leah, Amy & Ben York, Stepson Charles & Kari Wagner.  His grandchildren, Nicole Serrano, Joshua Gallego, Stevie Meneses, Nicole Moreira, Taylor Perkins, Madi Gallego, Samantha Haro, Rebecca Murray, Heather Murray, Gabriel Esparza, Samuel Esparza, Hayden Wagner, Kaci Wagner, Katie Esparza, Sophia Esparza.  And Great Grandpa to Dean Burton and Evie Meneses.

Pallbearers will be his son's, David, Danny, Tim, Charles, Grandsons, Joshua, Gabriel, Hayden and Samuel.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, his daughter Kathy Esparza, and son, Michael Esparza.
