Thomas Clifford Steward

Thomas Clifford Stewart, Jr., 78, of Las Vegas, passed away July 31, 2010. He was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Highland Springs, VA, and was a 14 year resident of Nevada. His family moved to California when he was 10. Tom was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War, after which he worked as a truck driver, house painter and wallpaper hanger. He was the "world's greatest golfer", and loved to shoot pool. Tow was well loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Thomas C. Stewart, Sr. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Mary Lee; stepson, Jeff Southworth of Tujunga, CA; grandson, Sean Southworth of San Diego, CA; sisters' Phyllis (Keith) Miller of Chino, CA and Jean (Larry) Stratton of Valinda, CA; nieces Sondra Black, Jenny Stratton, Donna Rauscher, Kathy Boyer and Leslie Madigan and nephews Larry Lee Stratton, Danny Stratton. Tommy Stratton and Craig Miller; many other relatives and numerous friends. Viewing will be held noon, Thursday, August 5, 2010 with a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 pm, both at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home, 600 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016. Military Service will follow at The Sky Rose Mausoleum in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 S. Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, CA.
