Thomas Wesley Simmons was born on July 5th, 1921 in Wichita, Kansas. He passed away January 31st, 2012 at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife Mary Ash Simmons, to whom he was married for over 66 years, and his 7 children David, Paul (Rebecca), Thomas (Sandi), Mary L. (K. Wayne Stewart), Joseph (Susan), Kathryn (David Head), and John (Melody). They have 23 grandchildren and their 9th great-grandchild is due this month. Thomas was a school teacher for Wilcox Elementary in Montebello where he taught for 24 years. As a young man, he served in the Air Corps during World War II. Thomas had a quick wit, a great sense of humor and loved books and chocolate. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be sorely missed. Thomas was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attended the Alhambra Ward. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1212 S. 8th Street, Alhambra, CA 91801
