Theresa Dorothy Agostino

Theresa Agostino, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 9 at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora, CA.

Theresa was born on April 27, 1933. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Vincent. They moved to California in 1954 to be close to her parents. California proved to be an idyllic place for them, with many wonderful years in the city of Arcadia. They suffered hardships as well when they lost two children fairly early in their marriage.

She was always there for anyone that needed her and remained friends with those she worked with for many years. Her love of scrapbooking and crafts gave her hours of enjoyment, and made her the keeper of memories for the family. She loved to play cards with her friends. She would host poker nights on Mondays and also plan many trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin. Being proud of her Italian heritage, she would coordinate activities for the Calabria Club. When her grandchildren were born, she took a very active role in each of their lives. She would give them rides to and from school, music and sporting events, and take them to their favorite stores and restaurants. She would also visit their classrooms each year with her daughter-in-law to make arts and crafts projects.

She will be greatly missed for her warm smile and determined spirit to live a meaningful life...giving to others at every turn. She is survived by her son, Dan, her daughter-in-law, Silvana, her two grandchildren, Lauren and Matt, her two great-grandchildren, Landon and Vincent, and her many nephews and nieces. She loved and touched them all deeply. Please join us this Thursday, July 16 at 7PM to celebrate her life at her rosary service, which will be held at Douglass & Zook in Monrovia. A private funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17 at Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead.
