Terry Nassoiy

Terry Lee Nassoiy, 70, was born in Niagara Falls, New York to Lester A and Estelle C Nassoiy. Terry attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from Bishop Duffy High School. Always interested in electronics, while a young student he constructed a sophisticated light show display on the entire third floor of the family home with complex circuitry and eye-popping effects. After graduating from Duffy, Terry moved to Pasadena, California where he attended Pasadena City College graduating in 1977 and continued his study at Control Data Institute graduating in 1978. Following his passion for space exploration, he went on to work for Jet Propulsion Labs for over 35 years doing support and maintenance for scores of projects and missions starting with the Voyager program and extending through the many Mars missions.

Terry lived in Monrovia, California and was an avid patron of the Burbank Fools Guild and the Irwindale Renaissance Faire where he will be remembered as a quiet, whimsical presence who delighted other participants with creative and lavish costumes. Terry loved gardening, sci-fi movies, and TVPLUS vintage cartoons. He enjoyed restoring antique audio equipment, notably automatic turntables.

He loved nature and made frequent trips to Allegany State Park honoring a family tradition of meeting up with relatives from near and far to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the woods. 

Predeceased by sister Mary Lou, Terry is survived by sisters Patricia Colville and Gene Barbour and brothers Michael, Frank, Joseph and Rocky, as well as his pet macaw, Crackers.
