It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved daughter, niece, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend, Sylvia Linda Baroni, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 30, 2025.

Sylvia lived her life the way she wanted and there was nobody that was going to stop her. That may sound a bit rough and perhaps uncompromising, but Sylvia had a strong spirit, it’s one of the things we loved about her, and that spirit remained unbroken to the end. There were other sides to Sylvia that some of us knew about: She was kind, generous to a fault, and charitable to both people and animals. She was funny, goofy, a bit of a nut and also very smart. She liked to tease others, she liked to surprise and be surprised and when she laughed well, she laughed loud! Sylvia will most definitely be remembered and missed by those of us whose lives she touched.

Sylvia’s journey in this life has ended, but her true loving/caring spirit and our memories of and with her live on. We ask that you hold Sylvia in your hearts and please do not remember her with sorrow or pity, but remember the good times you had with her, the laughs you shared together, and the experiences you had together.

May Sylvia rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and may God welcome Sylvia into the kingdom of Heaven.

Sylvia has already received a private viewing by family and close friends. Arrangements are under the care of Douglass & Zook Funeral and Cremation Services, Monrovia, CA. There will be no additional services per Sylvia’s last requests. Sylvia will be cremated and her ashes will be spread privately and in accordance with her expressed wishes. We are hoping for some sort of get together, wake, or celebration of life for Sylvia in the coming months.
