December 18, 1919 — July 11, 2010

Our beloved Sotiria Bacoyianis, devoted wife of the late Kostas Emmanuel Bacoyianis, mother of Dimitra (Pete) Callas of Albquerque, New Mexico, and Georgia (Frank) Blaszcak of San Gabriel, CA. Grandmother of Kostas and Nicholas (Melissa) Callas, and great grandmother of, Peyton and Bristol. Sotiria was born in Agiorgitica, Greece. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 with her husband, and young daughters with only $38.00 in their pocket. They worked hard to fulfill the “American Dream” She will always be remembered for the intoxicating aromas coming from the kitchen of homemade breads and cookies. She had a deep love of God, family and friends. The Trisagion service will be Friday, July 16th, 2010 at 7:00pm. The funeral Service will be Saturday, July 17th, at 11:00am, both held at St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church, 553 North Rosemead Blvd., Pasadena. Interment will be held back in her home town of Greece. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Anthony’s Philoptochos Society.
