In Memory Of SHIRLEY ANN DURBIN Shirley Ann Durbin, passed away April 4, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. She was a local watercolor artist, as well as an educator for over 29 years, retiring from the El Monte School District in 2000. She was an energetic, warm hearted person who enjoyed bringing her family together as well as meeting new people. She was a Regional Coordinator for “The Partnership Scholarships,” a non-profit organization that gives students in California a life-changing opportunity to turn the dream of a college education into reality. Most importantly, Shirley was the beloved wife of her husband, Jean-Robert Durbin, the loving mother to S. Curt (Tammy) Moore, Randall (Robyn) Moore, Laura (Derrick) Luedtka, and Heather (Stephen) Murphy; step-mother to Karen (Toney) Woody, Cheryl Adams, Jean-Robert Durbin Jr.; the grandmother to her 11 treasured grandchildren (Natalie, Jessica, Jack, Tiffani, Ryan, Caitlyn, Alvary, Liam, Aidan, Fiona and Megan) and four great grandchildren (Allison, Eric, Jazmin and Erin). Memorial Services, 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 9 will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church, 505 E. Bonita in San Dimas. Contributions in her memory may be made to “Partnership Scholarships,” c/o the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance FH in Monrovia (626-358-3244).
