Ruth C. Creasser

Ruth C. Creasser passed away into the arms of her Savior on December 19, 2010 at the age of 90. Ruth was a native Californian, a long time resident of Arcadia and had been a teacher’s assistant at Pasadena City College Parent Education for over 40 years where she was cherished by parents, children and teachers alike. Ruth previously was active in the United Methodist Church of Monrovia where she served in many different capacities including singing in the choir where her beautiful voice and smile will always be remembered. Her love of music came from growing up in a musical family where she also played violin and piano. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Ansel Creasser. She was the loving mother to her daughters, Carol Japp, Sharon (William) Green and Marcia (Lee) Guelff; and treasured grandmother to her grandchildren, Yvonne Stemwedel (Kirk Amos), Hollie Edgmon (Zach), Cynthia Terry (Dan) and Jenny Guelff. She also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Daniella Terry, Benjamin Terry and Ty Edgmon. Ruth was also preceeded in death by her son-in-law, Gerhard Japp. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Monrovia. Care entrusted to the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home in Monrovia.
