Ruth E. Brown, was born in Independence, Missouri on July 29, 1925 and passed away December 31, 2009 in Pomona. A positive, loving and independent woman, Ruth had been a resident of Sierra Madre for over 40 years, and a bookkeeper for the Pasadena Star News, Lamanda Hardware, and Fencecraft. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Brown, and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Gail Brown; grandsons, Gregory & Steven, and her brother, James Harkins. Memorial Services, 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 9 will be held at the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance in Monrovia. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
