Rose Theresa Dudek

DUDEK, Rose Theresa, passed away on May 21, 2011 in Arcadia, CA at the age of 81 after a two month hospitalization. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, Canada on November 22, 1929, the daughter of John and Frances Mastroni. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Dudek. She is survived by her brother Nick Mastroni and her sister Joan Fragale and her four children: Vicki Morlock (Brian), Michelle Stillman (Larry), Rob Dudek and Joey Dudek. She is also survived by her grandchildren Keith Morlock (Marissa), Kerri Pierce (Phillip), Bobby, Scotty, Kimberly and Stephanie Stillman, Taryn and Hannah Dudek, Faith Dudek and great grandchildren Autumn and Connor Morlock. She was a Southgate High School graduate. Rose always lived life to the fullest in spite of her many medical issues. Her spirit was much younger than her years! She was always ready for a fun day at Disneyland or a family hold'em poker tournament! She loved her family more than anything and was a good friend and spiritual advisor to many. She always seemed to leave her mark on those who she befriended or instructed. Her true passion was serving the Lord most recently as the RCIA Director at Annunciation Church in Arcadia, CA – her parish for over 57 years. Many will remember her as the Director of Religious Education for many years earlier in her career and she also served as RCIA Director for Nativity Church in El Monte, CA. It was the most rewarding aspect of her life. She was loved and will be deeply missed by many. Services will be held as follows: Rosary – Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. and Funeral – Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Arcadia, CA.
