Rogelio "Roger" Roldan

Roger was born on December 29, 1941, in Manila, Philippines, to Pedro and Anastasia Roldan. He was awarded a bachelor's degree from Mapua Institute of Technology (now Mapua University) in Manila, and soon after emigrated to California, where went on to pursue a long career as a civil engineer.
Roger was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Ivy. He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Grace; his sons Peter (Denise) and John Paul (Anne); and his son-in-law Chris Gafner. He was also a loving lolo to his six grandchildren: Kieran, Claire, Grant, Chiara, Xander, and Arman, and he loved to make them laugh with his silly faces.
Roger was a great cook, a skill that he first learned from his mother, and his family and friends especially enjoyed his famous barbecue. After retiring, he spent time travelling the world with his wife Grace and their close friends, including trips across Europe, South America, and Asia.
Roger will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
