Rick Zimmerman, 71, was born on March 19, 1952, at St. Luke's Hospital in Altadena, CA. He passed away December 20, 2023, from complications of pneumonia. Rick attended Monrovia, CA schools - Plymouth Elementary, Clifton Jr. High and graduated from Monrovia High in 1970 . He was drafted into the Army in 1972 and was stationed in Ft. Hood, TX. Rick returned to Monrovia after his honorable discharge and resided there until the time of his passing. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed working on his grandparent's farm in So. Arcadia, raising chickens in his backyard in Monrovia and watching his horses run at Santa Anita.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Basil Zimmerman from Monrovia. He is survived by his sister, Lindy (Zimmerman) Newton and her husband, Bob; his brother, Bret Zimmerman; several nieces and nephews and his devoted friend & love of his life, Gloria Vasquez-Amadeo.
Rick's interment service will be held at 11:00 AM on January 16, 2024 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA 92518.
