Richard R. Stueve

Richard R. Stueve, 84, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Meda and his daughter Patricia. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Rev. Allen) Schroeder, and his son, Richard W. (Penelope) Stueve; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Richard was born in Frohna, MO and moved to Southern California in 1948. He worked for Alta-Dena Dairy after moving to California where he was the long time Vice-President of Operations. He was a long time member of First Lutheran Church in Monrovia, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Sierra Madre, and most recently, St. Paul's First Lutheran Church of North Hollywood. He spent many of his retirement years playing golf with a close group of family and friends. Visitation hours 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 13 will be held at the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance in Monrovia. A committal service will take place at Live Oak Memorial Park in Monrovia on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a Memorial Service at St. Paul's First Lutheran Church in North Hollywood at 11:00 AM. Memorials can be made to the Mission for the Visually Impaired -WELS, 375 BridgePoint Way, South St. Paul, MN 55075. This mission provides and mails free Meditations and devotional recordings for the visually impaired. Care entrusted to the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home.
