Renato Granduc O'Neal was born on October 10, 1939 in Trieste, Italy. He was a very generous and loving man. He left his earthly home for his heavenly home on February 1, 2022 in Monrovia, CA, he was 82 years old. He leaves behind his wife of almost 53 years Sally O'Neal, his daughter Stephanie Castellano (Phillip/husband) and son Renato O'Neal Jr.(Roscelia/wife), his grandchildren AnnMarie Lencioni (Nick/husband), Gabriel Castellano, Noah Castellano, Renato O'Neal III, Andres O'Neal and Gianna O'Neal, his great grandchildren, Lucca and Vivianna Lencioni. His sister Grace Barkelew and his nephews Ralph and Brian Edgar. He had an extended family of sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, best friend Lester Roth and many friends who also loved him dearly.

In 1962, at the age of 21, Renato was adopted by his sister and brother in law to come to the United States. He joined the Marine Corps 6 months later for 4 years from 1962-1966. He loved his country and served it with honor. Once a Marine always a Marine, was one of his motto's. He was the type of man that would take his shirt off his back to help someone. He met his wife, Sally in 1968 in Pasadena, Ca., they married a year later and had three children. They had a wonderful marriage; their home was always filled with love, laughter, food, jokes and fun.

Renato was a wonderful man who adored and was adored by his family and will be missed tremendously. He loved his life and lived by this saying: " Italian by birth, Irish by name and American by choice". He never forgot his birthplace in Italy. He loved his brother in law, Bill who was kind enough to adopt him and give him his last name and he loved America because in his words, "it was the best place to live".

Arrangements are under the direction of Douglass & Zook Funeral and Cremation Services, Monrovia, California on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 11am
600 E Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016.

Celebration of Life reception to follow at 2:30pm at Embassy Suites in Arcadia, Ca. 211 E Huntington Dr., Arcadia, CA 91006.
