Paula Mancera, 85, who resided in Duarte, California passed away on March 01, 2023. Paula was born on June 18, 1937, in Ibarra, Guanajuato, Mexico to Anselma Rodriguez Barroso and Toribio Rodriguez Negrete. In 1962, Paula marrried Juan Manuel Mancera in Mexico City. Paula and Juan Manuel went on to have four children, Maria, Francisco, Raquel, and Juan Manuel, Jr. Paula enjoyed knitting, crocheting, free hand sewing, embroidering, and cooking her native Mexican cuisine. Paula also enjoyed gardening and had a love for flowers particularly roses.
Paula was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her husband Juan Manuel, her children Maria, Francisco, Raquel, and Juan Manuel, Jr., her son-in-law Lance Yamanaka, her grandchildren Niko and Mia Nichole, and her brothers Jose Luis Rodriguez and Rafael Rodriguez and her sisters Carmen Galvez, Eva Rodriguez, and Margarita Mondragon.
Visitation and rosary will be held on Monday, March 27 from 4:30-8:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Foothills located at 600 E. Foothill Boulevard in Monrovia, California. A Catholic funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Monrovia, California on Tuesday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Oakdale Memorial Park located at 1401 S. Grand Avenue in Glendora, California at 1:00 p.m.
