She was a resident of Sterling Inn in Victorville at the time of her passing, but spent the majority of her eventful life in Monrovia, Ca. Olive was known as Precious to those who were closest to her. To know Olive was to know an amazing woman who lived an amazing life. Olive Hagaman (Hannah) was born in Los Angeles, Ca on November 7th, 1917 to Oliver and Elizabeth Hannah. Oliver was a pipe fitter and volunteer fireman for the City of Monrovia and Elizabeth Hannah (Russell) was an Irish immigrant with strong family values. They made the City of Monrovia their home in 1910. The Hannahs were very active and were known to camp out all summer at the beach. Until they purchased their own little vacation home in Newport Beach. Olive started her education at the Duarte Elementary School, which is still standing today, and was a graduate of the Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte (MAD) High School in 1935. Olive soon met Charles Hagaman, a strapping red headed man from Stuttgart, Arkansas, and fell in love. Shortly after, they were married and were inseparable. Olive worked for over 30 years for the Day / Night and Payne Company while her husband Charles worked for the City of Monrovia. They to made their home in Monrovia, but were known for their traveling and adventurous spirit. After retirement, they continued to travel the world, making Hawaii a frequent stop during their trips. If Olive could wear her Hawaiian outfits everyday, life was perfect. She lost her love Charles in 1996, but he remained in her heart everyday. Olive always kept herself busy and was very involved with her community, church and most of all her family. She was an active member of Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, President of the Monrovia League, member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, member of No. 227 Order of the Eastern Star and part of The Monrovia Dance Club. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Monrovia for over 30 years.
