On February 26, 2016 Mickey Harbur left this life to begin a better with her Savior Jesus Christ. Mildred Amanda Allbright was born on February 2, 1925 and was raised on a farm in Warden, Illinois by parents, Arthur and Amanda Hillebrand. At her first job as a secretary in St. Louis, she met Robert Loren Harbur. Married in 1947, she and Bob started their family with Tracy Robert born in St. Louis and two years later with David Bartlett in Indianapolis. After many moves across the country, the Harburs settled in Arcadia in 1960 and have resided there since. Mickey was known as a tireless worker and was given the nickname of Mrs. Fullcharge. Mickey logged thousands of hours as a volunteer for the Arcadia Methodist Hospital, serving several times as president of the Arcadia Holiday Homes Tour, and received several awards and acknowledgements for her efforts from the City of Arcadia, the State of California, and the Congress of the United States. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19 at 1:30 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 512 W. Duarte Rd., Arcadia, CA.
