Mary Geraldine Raheb

September 21, 1923 — July 31, 2016

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Raheb. Mary was born in New York to Bernard and Katherine McLaughlin, the oldest of 5 children in 1923. It was in New York that Mary met our dad, George Raheb, in a hospital at the age of 15. They married at Immaculate Conception Church in 1952 after George's tour of duty in the US Navy and had four children. Mary was quite active of her beloved church of 63 years as room mother, catechist, Eucharistic minister to the sick and started the daily recital of the rosary after the 8:00 mass over 34 years ago. She enjoyed maintaining in her garden and all of her many rose bushes.

She is predeceased by her husband, George Raheb, her son, Bruce Raheb, and siblings, William McLaughlin, Bernadette Behrens and Gerald McLaughlin. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Raheb Roswell (spouse: David), her sons, Larry Raheb (spouse: Bartolo Santos) and William Raheb (spouse: Debbie) and her sister, Evelyn Biggers of New York. She had four grandchildren: Jerome (spouse: Alyse), Veronica, Emily and Elizabeth. A special thanks to Edna who cared for George and Mary for over 10 years.

Viewing and Rosary for Mary will be held on Tuesday, August 9 at Immaculate Conception Church starting at 6:30 pm.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 10 at Immaculate Conception Church.
