Mary Beth E. Goody

August 28, 1950 — October 23, 2011

On October 23, 2011, Mary Beth E. Goodey passed away suddenly leaving a void in her family’s heart that will never be filled. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt and an angel to all those in need. She was born on August 28, 1950 in Pasadena, CA to Walter J. Goodey Jr. and Marie DeGrazia-Goodey and was a long time resident of Monrovia. A veteran professional in the insurance industry, Mary Beth loved to travel, especially when a casino was the destination. She was on a loving, first-name basis with penny slots from San Diego to Las Vegas. Mary Beth was a kind, loving, compassionate, thoughtful, caring person and selfless in her devotion to her family and friends. She had a heart as large as the universe and always put others first before herself. She loved to laugh and always tried to “make it better”. We miss you Mary as our lives will never be the same without you. She is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by Walter, Michael, Carolyn, Bob and Elouise as well as many nieces and nephews. Rosary and mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on November 10, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Monrovia, located at 740 S. Shamrock Avenue. A private interment at Turner and Stevens Live Oak Memorial Park will follow. Mary Beth was always helping others. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Foothill Unity Center (food bank) in Monrovia www.foothillunitycenter.org.
