Mary Lou Farmer

Mary Lou Farmer (Navarro-Williams), resident of Temple City, died April 30, 2015, and is at rest in Christ awaiting his return. Born in Fall River, MA in 1932, she is a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, serving 1952-1953. She raised her family in Chicago, IL married to Rudy Navarro. There, she received her Nursing degree and license from Valparaiso University, IN.

Later, she married Robert A Williams of Owen County, IN her lifetime companion and friend. As a member of numerous aid societies, non-profits, and as a certified hospital clown and clown instructor, she established programs that are still running and serving the sick and elderly in Florida and Southern California, today. She retired as a Nursing Home Administrator.

Widowed by Robert in 2002, she later remarried her first husband from her youth, Harold Farmer, of San Diego and was widowed by Harold in 2012. She moved in with her son's family in Temple City in 2013.

She was a very generous and charismatic leader and organizer and gave of herself, time and resources to serve and help others. She loved God, life and living and enjoyed it to the full. She will be dearly missed by many.

Mary Lou is survived by her sons, Alan Farmer, David Navarro and Edward Navarro, and her daughter, Cathleen (Farmer) McPhee, and by her 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
