Mary Margaret Budge

BUDGE - Maria "Mary" Margaret Rose Budge, (nee Licari) July 28, 1931-April 16, 2011 Mary peacefully passed away with her family by her side on the eve of Palm Sunday. Mary was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on July 28, 1931 to Lena and Raffaele Licari. After meeting her husband Joseph at Commerce Night School, the two married and moved to Pasadena in 1959, then relocated to Arcadia in 1963. Mary enjoyed walking, gardening, beach-going and was very active in the Arcadia chapter of the Sons of Italy for many years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister whose greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. Mary is preceded in death by sister Florence. She is survived by her devoted husband Joseph Patrick Budge; daughters Darlene Marie (Joseph) Babros and Debra Anne (David) Sparks; grandchildren Cameron, Joseph & Milan as well as six siblings: Josephine, John, Barbara, Frances, Ralph and Diane. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Arcadia. A Mass celebrating Mary's life will also be held at Annunciation on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with reception following in the church hall. The 27th of April is not only a day to celebrate Mary's life, but would have also been Mary and Joseph's 54th Wedding Anniversary.
