Marilyn Kay Murray

Marilyn Murray, 70, was born November 21, 1940 in Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away November 10, 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. A long time Arcadia resident, Marilyn was hired by Photo-Sonics Inc as an Administrative Assistant on Sept 8, 1992. She earned her CPS, Certified Professional Secretary before joining Photo-Sonics. She always worked directly for the president of the Company. As well as handling the administrative duties of her position, she also was responsible for obtaining State Department export licenses. She was a Notary Public and notarized all the Company’s important documents. She made travel arrangements for the executives and took care of managing all the company’s special events. She ably assisted all departments with their administrative responsibilities. Marilyn was respected and loved by all her co-workers and many claimed her as their friend. Outside of her professional career she was active with the Republican Party. She was a gourmet cook and an avid gardener. Her avocation was dancing and she opened her own dance studio in Burbank after dancing many years with Arthur Murray studios. Marilyn is survived by her brother, Marvin Murray; her niece: Leslie Clark, and nephew: Matthew Murray. A Memorial Service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 10 will be held at the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home, 600 E. Foothill Blvd, Monrovia, CA 91016 (626-358-3244).
