Manuel “Manny” Caguioa Gutierrez, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away at the age of 79, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love.
Born and raised in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines, Manny was the eldest child of Aquilino and Toribia, both of whom preceded him in death. He grew up surrounded by a close-knit family, sharing his formative years with siblings Perla (deceased), Grace, Kelly (deceased), Hediliza, Norma, Cezar and Rose.
Manny pursued higher education at San Carlos College in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. His professional journey led him to a long and fulfilling career in the telecommunications industry, where he served as an administrator in Workers’ Compensation and External Affairs. He retired from AT&T in 2005, leaving behind a reputation for integrity, diligence, and compassion toward colleagues.
In his personal life, Manny first shared 17 years of marriage with Ernani, the mother of his two sons, Mervin and Glenn, until her passing in 1989. In July 1998, he married Nancy, with whom he shared 27 years of love, partnership, and laughter and gained three stepsons, Jeromy, Jerod and JJ.
Family was at the heart of Manny’s world. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren - Jaylen, Kamdyn, Natilyn, Keira, Kai, Jeron, Jaison, and Pacey, each of whom brought him immense happiness. He found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was tending to his plants in the backyard, watching YouTube videos or Facebook Messenger chats with his siblings.
Manny will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering love for his family, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, in the lessons he taught, and in the love he gave so freely.
