Linda Woodruff

Linda was born in Rochester, NY to Peter and Lucy Giliberti on January 13, 1942. She passed away November 13, 2015. Linda moved west when she was 18 and her family soon followed. She is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughter Laura Gleason (Brian), grandsons AJ and Sam, sisters Brenda (Steve) and Sandy (Robert), and many cousins. Linda met Ken on a blind date in Pasadena in 1963, not knowing he was also from Western NY and was also born in Rochester and lived just 20 miles south in Avon. They were married on July 18, 1964 and the union lasted for 51 years. Linda, despite having health problems all her life, worked at many jobs, 3 of which were stand outs in her life: Lordel Manufacturing in Monrovia, Mutschler Accounting, and as the Secretary to the Principal of Arcadia High School, where she handled many duties including, Grad-Night when Laura graduated. Her passions were caring and protecting her family, her roses, cooking on family holidays and trying out her new concoctions on them, a good pinochle game and listening to music. Linda will be remembered by family and friends for her infectious laugh and her good heart. To our dear wife, mother and grandmother, we will miss you forever, but know you are in a better place and out of pain. A rosary will be held Monday, Nov. 23 at 7:00 PM and her service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 2:00 PM, both at Douglass & Zook Chapel of the Foothills.
