Lamar Franklin Heslop

LaMar Franklin Heslop, 80, died April 16, 2012 in Monrovia, California after a battle with cancer. He was born January 9, 1932, in the L.D.S. Hospital in Ogden, Utah to Franklin and Clide Lund Heslop. He was raised in Tremonton, Utah and served in the Navy before serving an L.D.S. mission in Colorado Springs. He married Shirley Mae Faulkner on December 20, 1957, in the L.D.S. Temple in Los Angeles, California. He worked 33 years for the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office and served numerous callings for many years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley Heslop, two sons and one daughter; Brad Heslop of LaVerne, CA, Craig Heslop of Monrovia, CA, and Connie DeLaigle of Enoch, Utah; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Friday, April 20, 2012, 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home, 600 East Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA. A viewing will also be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 9:00am to 10:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Monrovia Ward building, 532 Lemon Avenue, Monrovia, CA. The funeral services will follow the viewing at 11:00am in the Chapel. Interment will follow to Cemetery.
