Kathryn Huebotter Richards, “Cass” or “Kay” to her friends, passed away May 23, 2012. Born in Davenport, IA June 30, 1916, Kathryn was a long time resident of Arcadia, CA where she raised two loving sons. She was a registered nurse, trained in Iowa but worked in Alaska and Hawaii during the war and in Temple City and Arcadia thereafter. Known by her friends for her artistic abilities, sharp sense of humor, and strength of character, she will be missed by her family and by her friends at the Arcadia Senior Center where she was a regular until the last 2 years and the Gables Senior Residence in Monrovia. She is survived by sons, Carl (Hacienda Hts, CA) and Robert (Skomakowa, WA), and grandson, Joseph (Piedmont, CA). A memorial service will be held at the Gables Senior Residence Friday, June 8 at 11:00 AM.
