Kathryn J. Garrity was born on November 27, 1923 and passed away on November 20, 2012. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Kathryn attended Bishop Conety High School in Highland Park. Kathryn married John Bradley Garrity on July 17, 1948 and the two were married for 51 years. An active member for over 50 years at Annunciation Catholic Church, Kathryn was one of the first charter members. Kathryn and John enjoyed traveling to China and Europe with their long time friends, Bob and Bev Kendall. The last three years Kathryn lived at the Palms Retirement Center in Ventura, CA, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her four children: Mark, deceased, (Kathi), Dennis (Alison), Philip and Colleen (Doug). She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Vigil Services will be Thursday, November 29, 2012, 7:00 p.m. at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home, 600 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA, 626-358-3244. The Funeral Mass, Friday, November 30 at 11:00 a.m., Annunciation Catholic Church, 1307 East Longden Avenue, Arcadia. Interment, Resurrection Cemetary, 966 N. Potrero Grande Drive, Montebello, CA, 323-887-2024.
