June R. McCorkell, 81, passed away peacefully May 9, 2009. She was born June 5, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to Stephen and Julia (Boleman) Herman. June was a longtime resident of the San Gabriel Valley and was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church for over 48 years. She loved to cook, was happiest while spending time with her family, and enjoyed to travel. June is preceded in death by her husband, John N. McCorkell and son, David John McCorkell; and is survived by children, Thomas John (Janice) McCorkell, Karen Anne (Gerald) Prestel, Patricia Ann Webb, Steven Michael (Jane) McCorkell, Julie Mary Susie, and James John McCorkell; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy De Barr. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 5PM-8PM at Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home and mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 14, 2009, 11AM at St. Luke’s Church with interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
