Joseph Cesar Feghali

Joseph Feghali, 92, long time resident of Arcadia, CA, died on December 27, at his home in Glendora, CA. Joe was born in Lebanon on August 15, 1924. He came to the US at the age of 19 to attend college, and while still a student, felt compelled to join the US Army and serve his new country in the Korean War. After completing his service, he went on to earn a BS from the University of Maryland and an MBA from NYU. He then embarked on a forty-year career in international banking that allowed him to travel the world. At the time of his retirement, he was Chairman of the Board and CEO of Security Pacific International Bank. In later years, Joe became very involved in civic life and was involved with the Gilb Museum of Arcadia, Santa Teresita Hospital and the Arcadia Men's Club. Joe was the adoring husband of Sheila Feghali, nee O'Reilly, who passed away in 2013. He was the beloved father of Rebecca Singer of Sandyston, NJ, Philip Feghali and wife Michelle, of Glendora, CA, and Nancy Geubelle and husband Philippe, of Champaign, IL. He was the adored grandfather of Scott and Gillian Singer, Caroline and Alexandre Geubelle, and Christopher and Amanda Feghali. His brother Tony Feghali and wife Charlotte, and sister Rebecca Chahine and husband Emile, also survive him. He was an adoring and loving uncle to thirteen nieces and nephews around the world. Those who knew him were fortunate to know a man of great integrity, dedication and patriotism. He loved to use his mind and was an avid chess, bridge and backgammon player.

Services will be held at Holy Angels Church on January 3, 2017 at 10:00 am. The church is located at 370 Campus Drive, Arcadia. A reception celebrating Joe's life will be held at the Monrovian, located at 534 S. Myrtle Avenue, Monrovia at 4:00 on the same day.
