Father Joseph M. Gamm, C.M.F., 92 years of age, died at Santa Teresita Manor in Duarte, CA on August 21, 2012. He was born on July 17, 1920, in Istria, Italy. He entered Dominguez Seminary in Compton, CA in 1938, and in 1939 he professed his first vow of poverty, chastity and obedience at the age of 19. In 1945, he was ordained to the priesthood at St. Francis of Assisi in Chicago, Illinois. Fr. Joe’s dedication, love, and accomplishments as a missionary will always be treasured in the hearts of those he touched. A viewing will be held at 9:00 AM at Dominguez Seminary on Monday, August 27, 2012 with a Rosary at 9:45 AM, followed by the Mass of Resurrection. He will be laid to rest at San Gabriel Mission. Donations in memory of Fr. Joseph Gamm, CMF may be sent to the Claretian Missionaries at 10203 Lower Azusa Rd, Temple City, CA 91780.
