Joseph C. Banis, 90, passed away September 3, 2010. Joe was a long time resident of Sierra Madre. He is survived by his wife, Eunice; his daughters, Mary Patricia Guyse & Susan Calabretta; his sons, Joe, David, Daniel & James Banis; his 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Graveside services were held at the Riverside National Cemetery for the WWII and Korean Air Force pilot on Thursday, September 9, and a Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church in Sierra Madre on Saturday, September 11. Care entrusted to the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance in Monrovia.
