Jorge Natividad Perez

Jorge Natividad Perez, 90, born on November 20, 1930, in Real del Oro, Estado de Mexico, Mexico, passed away July 3, 2021. Mr. Perez resided in Duarte for over 40 years. He became a horse racing jockey at a young age and traveled to different tracks throughout Mexico and the United States. After sustaining a race related injury he became a horse exercise rider at the Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, and Del Mar Race Track. After over 40 years of involvement in the horse racing industry Mr. Perez retired. As a teenager Mr. Perez featured in the movies Los Olvidados (1950), El Papelerito (1951), and Los Pobres Siempre van al Ceilo (1951). Mr. Perez is survived by his beloved wife Julia Perez; his beloved children Adriana and Cristina; his beloved stepchildren, Sylvia, Rosa and Paul; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A Rosary/Viewing will be held Thursday July 15, 2021 from 5:30 - 9pm at Douglass & Zook Funeral Home, 600 e Foothill Blvd., Monrovia CA 91016. Mass will be held on Friday July 16, 2021 from 10 - 11am at Immaculate Conception Church located at 740 S Shamrock Ave., Monrovia CA 91016. Following the mass an escorted procession will lead to Resurrection Catholic Cemetery located at 966 Portero Grande Dr., Rosemead CA 91770.
