John S. Porretta, Beloved husband, father and grandfather, John was born in Los Angeles on December 20, 1933 and passed away suddenly on October 5, 2009. He was an employee at JPL for 40 years and retired as manager of accounting. He is survived by his wife, Mikki; his children, Mark (Renee), Peggy, Brian, Julie and Michael Ann; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Chelsea, Rick, Andrew, Natalia, Jacob & Domenic; father-in-law, George Maurer of Sierra Madre as well as his brothers-in-law, Bill (Nancy) Maurer of Tyler, Texas and George Maurer Jr of Sierra Madre, and his sister-in-law, Linda (Dennis) Heaton of Indio. Visitation hours today, Friday, October 9 are 5-8 PM at the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance in Monrovia. A Funeral Mass at 10 AM on Saturday will be held at the Holy Angeles Catholic Church in Arcadia.
