John Paul Curry

April 26, 1914 — October 19, 2012

John Paul Curry, beloved husband, father and grandfather was born on April 26, 1914 in French Creek, WV, and died at his home in Monrovia, CA on October 19, 2012. He was a college business school instructor, a successful independent business man, and a high-school mathematics teacher in his native West Virginia for 35 years, and retired to Monrovia with his now late wife Elizabeth where he enjoyed tending to his yard and orange trees, talking business and politics with his neighbors, and telling stories about the Curry family “Country Store of Yore.” He is survived by his son, John Reeder Curry (Kristine); two grandsons, Christopher R. Curry and Patrick D. Curry; and his sister, Valta Canfield. Services will be held on Sunday, October 28 at 1:30 P.M. at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance.
