Jess Witt, nee Goodyer, passed away peacefully at home in Arcadia, California on December 13, 2015. Jess was born in Badshot Lea, Surrey, England to Mary Ann Cox and Charles Manly Goodyer. The early years in England during World War II were spent in Beaconsfield. Jess emigrated to Canada in her early twenties and later met her beloved Harold of Pasadena, California. They married in Reno, Nevada and settled in Pasadena. The young Witts moved to Arcadia and purchased their first home at 541 West Longden Avenue, where they lived throughout their marriage.

Jess worked in Sierra Madre in the insurance business and Harold worked with his dad in the street sales route business. Jess and Harold started and built H. E. Witt Company, a successful confectionary broker where Jess managed the office and their lives.

Jess lost Harold in 1994 and continued to work in the business.

Jess and Harold were always surrounded by their pets, often two or three dogs at a time. Their love of dogs was legendary.

Survivors include her sister Betty Leslie of the UK and numerous nieces. nephews and cousins.
