Jean Eyre Fitzgerald

BOBBIE JEAN EYRE FITZGERALD
November 8, 1932—October 22, 2018

Bobbie Jean Eyre Fitzgerald was born at home in Dry Prong, Louisiana, and died at her home in Duarte, California. She lived in Louisiana until she went to boarding high school in Indiana. The wife of Ray Fitzgerald, a US Navy chaplain who often was relocated, she made each move an adventure and every house a home.

From a very young age and most recently in her retirement community, Jean served as a church pianist. The quintessential homemaker, she loved to sew and cook. For her, food was love and she prepared it in abundance! She shared her gift of hospitality with hundreds of people through the years, always making room for one more around the table.

She is survived by:
her daughter, son-in-law, and their children and grandchildren
ANITA and William Henck Jr. (Azusa, California), ALAYNA and Benjamin Effinger (Glendora, California), NATHANIEL and JACKSON Effinger, and ANDREW Henck (Los Angeles, California);

her daughter, son-in-law, and their children
JOY and Joseph Hilley (Houston, Texas), LAURA CATHERINE and Reuben (JACK) Hilley;

her son, daughter-in-law, and their children
Elizabeth and JAMES Fitzgerald (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), ERIN and Philip Cox (Duarte, California), KAITLYN Fitzgerald (Evanston, Illinois), and ANNA Fitzgerald (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma);

and her brother CLARENCE Eyre (Dry Prong, Louisiana).
