McKEE-MENDEL - Jane McKee-Mendel, 96, passed away August 4, 2010. Jane had always been known for her natural beauty. She was a very loving and giving person to her families and all those who became part of her life circle. Jane was born January 15, 1914 in Emporia Kansas. She graduated college there and then went on to teach many years in the Southern California university school system. Jane is survived by her step children, Carole (Jim) Tavernier, Janice (Bill) Roffeld, and Sharon Negal all of California; a nephew, John Ryan Jr. of Kansas and niece, Jane Hutcheson of Oklahoma along with generations of great nephews, nieces, and great grandchildren that loved her very much. A private family service is being held. Contributions in her memory may be made to the City of Hope, Duarte, CA. Care entrusted to the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home in Monrovia, CA (626) 358-3244.
