James Percy Nelson, Sr.

James Percy Nelson was born October 27, 1942 to Andrew Nelson and Inez Webster Nelson in Bude, Mississippi. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Lily Mae Bryant High School.

Mr. Nelson married Eunice Aplon and they shared 55 years together. They lived in California and he worked for Parker Hannifin Aerospace Company in Irvine, CA until he retired. After retirement he and his wife, Eunice, relocated to Tyler, Texas where they united with St. Louis Baptist Church.

Mr. Nelson enjoyed his family gatherings and was an avid sports fan, especially the San Francisco 49ers. He also loved fishing and golf.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Eunice; sons, James P. Nelson, Jr. (Shenee) of Duarte, CA, James A. Nelson (Kady), Murrieta, CA; daughters, Kimberly Nelson Jones, and Vickie Nelson Brown, both of Fontana, CA, Ramona Nelson Campbell (percy) Stockton, CA, and Tiffany Ross, Pasadena, CA.

Others left as survivors, brothers, Nolan Lee and Willie Fleming, Jr., Detroit, MI, John Nelson, Brookhaven, MS; sisters, Willie Mae Cameron, Bude, MS, Bobbie Dorsey and Mary Washington, Duarte, CA, Essie Nelson, Brookhaven, MS, and Johnnie Johnson, Monrovia, CA.; fifteen grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving family.
