JAMES WALLACE KRANZ 4/27/79 – 11/20/11 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother James (Jimmy) W. Kranz on Sunday November 20th, 2011, from a sudden and unexpected illness. Jimmy was a blessing from God and will forever be remembered. Some of his special qualities included: his love for life, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his face, enjoying and dancing to his favorite songs, his heartfelt laughter when swinging on the tire swing or lounging in the spa and his joy while chewing bubble gum. Our family would like to extend our appreciation to The Kingston House where he resided the last 10 years. We would like to especially thank Gail Horrigan for making Kingston Jimmy’s home and his caretakers; Ebony, Carmen, Jody, Sandy and Maria to mention only a few of the special people who made his life more comfortable. Thank you to the staff of Unlimited Quest for their support and assistance. Our thanks to The Foundation for the Junior Blind, where Jimmy resided until the age of 21, for teaching him how to communicate and providing a nurturing environment. A special thank you to Maria for her love and devotion. And, a thank you to Joann Boyce, RN at Children’s Hospital in LA, for her love and caring during his infancy and early childhood. Jimmy was preceded in death by his cousin Eric Boen, grandfather Wallace Kranz, grandmother Susan Davis and grandfather Donald Davis. Jimmy is survived by his father Dr. Steven Kranz (wife Peggy), mother and step-dad Virginia and Dr. William Delo, brother Dr. Eugene Kranz (wife Sarah and children Holly and Bodhi), sister Kelly Whitehead (husband Matthew and children Samantha and Benjamin) brother Scott (son Tristen). Jimmy had many aunts, uncles and cousins. His Uncle Don, Aunt Janet and Cousins Kyle and Trevor were very attentive and loving throughout Jimmy’s life. Jimmy had a sweetness and a gentle touch and will be greatly missed. We take joy in knowing Jimmy is resting comfortably in the arms of Jesus. “Sleep on sweet son, for God the Father, has thought it best.” Services at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 30, will be held at the Sierra Madre Congregational Church in Sierra Madre. Care entrusted to the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance FH in Monrovia.
