James P. “Jim” Brookins, 80, passed away December 2, 2009. Jim (Brookie Bear) Brookins is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; his son, Michael; daughters, Laurie Brookins-Duncan and Jamie Brookins-Rainone; his grandchildren, Alicia, Sarah, Jimmy, Heather, Lindsey & Lauren; great grandchildren, Lauren, David, Emily & Savannah, also a great-grandson Samuel, also by his sister-in-law, Mary Seman, brother-in-law, Larry Seman, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elisabeth. Memorial Services at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 11 will be held at the Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home in Monrovia. Contributions in Jim’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
