Born in Pasadena August 16, 1946, died at VA hospice care in North Hills December 19, 2010 after a year long battle with lung cancer. John, aka "Peanut", was a proud Vietnam war veteran who resided in Duarte most of his life. John is survived by his daughter Rochelle Guardado. Graveside services will take place at Live Oak Cemetery 200 E Duarte Rd. Monrovia, CA 91016 on Thursday, December 30 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Vietnam Veterans of America (626) 795-8141
