Harold E.Phelph, Jr. November 29, 1933 - March 28, 2010 Devoted Son, Husband, Father and Grandfather. Born in Los Angeles to Harold E. Phelps, Sr. and Ivy Gee Phelps. Graduate of LA High Class of 1951. Served as missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 1954-1956 in the Spanish-American mission. Graduate of Cal State LA. Married his beloved wife Olga Angelica Flores Phelps in 1962 in the LDS Temple for Time and All Eternity. Taught Spanish and History at Grant High School for 37 years. After retirement served another church mission with Olga in the Canary Islands 2000-2002. Olga preceded him in passing after nearly 43 years of marriage in 2005. After almost five years of separation, Harold and Olga have been reunited in their eternal marriage. He is also reunited with his mother and brother John who passed in 1943 at only eight years of age. He is survived by his five adoring children Harold E. Phelps III, Brenda Jones, Suzy Gallup, Yvonne Torres, Cynthia Kleven and their spouses, as well as 19 and soon-to-be 20 grandchildren. Although we already miss him so much, we look forward to being with him in the resurrection. He is also survived by half-sisters Sheila, Shelly, Cynthia, Stacy, and Melissa Phelps. The 10 a.m. viewing and 11 a.m. funeral service will be held Friday April 2nd at the LDS Church at 2316 Hillview Ave., Monterey Park, CA 91754. Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home.
