Hans L. Richter

Hans L. Richter was born to Elisabeth and Johannes Richter in Pasadena, California. After graduating from Pasadena High School and while serving in the US Army, he graduated from UCLA with a BA in Mechanical Engineering and from USC with a Master's in Mechanical Engineering. He was married for 53 years to Judith his one and only beloved wife and partner until her passing in 2015. Through the years he worked at JPL, Hoffman, and So. Cal Edison (25 yrs). Hans enjoyed traveling with his wife on car trips, cruises, tours, and visited many parts of the US and the World. He was a Past Master of the Corona Masonic Lodge No. 324.
He enjoyed gardening, reading, baseball, and volunteering at Arcadia Library teaching computers & Arcadia City Hall. He was an avid bowler and participated in several bowling leagues and tournaments. He loved watching his birds, particularly hummingbirds, and one yellow bird that would come and visit a couple times in the year.
He is survived by his son Dan Richter, and daughter Elise Langdon, son-in-law Jeff Langdon, grandsons Hayden, Colin and Morgan Richter, and granddaughters Ashley Langdon and Taylor Ward. He is also survived by his brothers Werner, Richard, and Ted Richter.
His greatest treasure was his family! We will always love him.
