Grace Hoerber Pesante passed away December 26, 2020 in Upland, California. She was born
January 18, 1927 to George and Caroline Hoerber in Milbank, SD. She attended school in Brookings, SD through her sophomore year before transferring to Huron High School.
In 1946, she married Vinton Luther. They had three children. Grace was employed by Ulrich- Florentine insurance agency in Huron, and later was secretary to the superintendent of Huron Public Schools.
Grace moved to California in 1968 where she was employed as a legal secretary at Max Factor and for a law firm in Pasadena. She retired in 1990.
In 1970, she married Leslie G. Davidson; they had a daughter, Erin, born in 1971.
She was married to Roland E. Pesante from 1974 until 1991.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and sisters, and her son, Carroll. She is survived by daughter, Connie (Richard) Green of Huron; son, John Luther and his wife Kathy Nunokawa of Hakalau, HI; and daughter, Erin (Shane) Hughes of Claremont, CA. Also surviving her are 4 grandchildren, Cara (Keith) Osier of Huron; Dana (Megan) Green of Oconomowoc, WI; Jonan and Riley Hughes of Claremont, CA; and great-grandson, Davis Osier of Huron; nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
