Dr. George David Lacy, MD, 80, of Duarte Mesa, CA, passed away on April 3, 2021 peacefully in his sleep. George is survived by his three daughters: Jamie Morgan Lacy Shchiglik, Jacqueline Monica Weissman, and Joanna Michele Lacy Smith. George is also survived by his loving brother, Richard Lacy, and sister-in-law, Mary Lee Lacy; his two grandchildren, David and Christopher Smith; his nephew Ethan Lacy and his wife Natalia along with their children Gavin, Hayden, and Carys; and his son-in-law Anatoly Shchiglik. George was predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer Marie Lacy (2019).

George always had a thirst for knowledge, so much so that he once lived in France as a young man, and learned Italian later in his life. He also enjoyed socializing with people, especially his neighbors in Duarte Mesa. George made friends everywhere he went.

During his quest to become a medical doctor, George attended the University of Texas, Austin, the University of South Alabama, and the University of Florida. Prior to his retirement, George was a Professor of Medicine and Doctor at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, USC Norris Cancer Center, and Los Angeles County Hospital.
